Dimapur, Dec. 11 (EMN): The State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (Sameti) organised a training programme in writing and documentation skills for “extension functionaries” for block technology managers of the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (Atma), from December 10 to the 11th at the institution at Medziphema in Dimapur.
The Sameti issued a press release to the media on Wednesday informing about the programme.
The training was aimed to enable the Atma functionaries from the districts to understand and be equipped with the appropriate tools for visual documentation and for preparing reports and newsletter, the organisers stated. It is in the interest of enabling them to write standard farm publications and success stories which in turn would serve as a record of the accomplishments achieved at the grassroots level, the press release stated.
The press release stated that detailed theoretical and practical sessions were imparted on basic communication and documentation of activity reports, report writing; basic features of writing success stories, writing for farm publications, and preparing write ups for press releases to be circulated in the media.
‘Apart from the aforementioned topics a basic training on television, video and radio script for documentation was conducted,’ the updates stated.
