Kohima, Nov. 28 (EMN): The Nagaland state mission director of the education programme Samagra Shiksha along with other officials visited Tuensang district from November 26 to the 28th to monitor and supervise various activities of the Samagra Shiksha in the state.
During the visit, the mission director Kevileno Angami inaugurated a residential hostel at Sangsangnyu and had an interaction with village elders.
She visited Sochum centres at Hakchang and Chingmei where she had interactions with students and village elders besides a briefing by ECS staff on the implementation of a mobile teaching unit at Sochum centres.
The mobile teaching unit is a new innovative initiated by ECS to improve students’ performance especially in mathematics. The director also visited various other institutions such as the KGBV, and a girls’ hostel and a residential hostel at Noklak. The purpose of the KGBV and residential hostels of the Samagra Shiksha in the state is to provide quality education to students who are in the rural areas.
