Dimapur, Feb. 4 (EMN): The 25th Annual Sports Meet of Sakus Mission College (SMC) was held from January 30 to February 3.
According to an update received from Sakus Mission College here on Tuesday informed that during the inaugural function, the vice-principal of SMC highlighted on the importance of games and sports and how it leads towards the development of harmonious personality. He also declared the sports meet open. Sports secretary, Penpoh Konyak of 4th Semester, conducted the oath-taking along with the captains of the four houses.
Both the teaching and non-teaching faculties headed by the chairman and the students took active participation in a true sportsmanship spirit. Blue house emerged as the overall champion of the sports meet while red house bagged the runners-up position. Hengoulen Hangsing and Sulito Shohe were adjudged the best sportsperson in male and female category respectively.
