Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): In an endeavour to sensitise cadets on the value of tree plantation and the need to save environment, Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) organised a tree plantation drive on June 24 in the school premises and planted more than 240 tree saplings.
Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, the school’s principal, initiated the drive and encouraged the cadets to take pragmatic steps towards improving the quality of environment for the future generation and to make the world a greener place to live in. The principal along with teachers and cadets undertook the plantation drive and participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The school has, meanwhile, thanked Dr. Sentitula, divisional forest officer, Peren division, for providing tree saplings to the school.
