RPF arrest seven criminals; 12 children rescued

Dimapur, July 3 (EMN): The chief public relations officer, NF Railway in Maligaon in an update on Wednesday, stated that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway rescued as many as 12 minor boys and girls from different stations/trains during the week from June 24 to 30, before the children could be lured by anti-social elements.
The update also stated that the RPF arrested seven criminals who were involved in various types of crimes against railway passengers.

In one such case, on June 27, CPDS (Crime Prevention & Detection Squad) of CIB team of Katihar, during routine checking at Katihar Railway station, apprehended five persons involved in theft of belongings by administering sedative drugs with recovery of sedative tablets (28 Ativan tablets 2 mg), cash INR 2000 and one mobile phone from their possession.

RPF of Guwahati on June 30 conducted a drive against anti-social activities at concourse area of Guwahati railway station and apprehended one person with recovery of one bag, three money purses, one mobile phone with SIM, two PAN cards, one Voter ID, one SBI ID card, one ATM card and cash INR 5070 which was stolen from the passengers.

In another such incident on June 30, an RPF team at Mariyani while conducting duty at Mariyani station apprehended one person with recovery of two mobile phones which were stolen from the passengers. The arrested persons along with recovered articles were handed over to GRP for further course of action.
