Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): As part of people’s plan campaign activities, Rural Development department organised a one-day orientation training for line department nodal officers on gram panchayat development plan 2021 in its conference hall on September 10.
The joint director of RD department and state nodal officer, K Neibou Sekhose, who chaired the training, highlighted the previous year’s activities and stressed on the need to scale up in the current year.
In a powerpoint presentation, he explained the significance of the gram panchayat development plan in every village and requested the line departments to disclose their projects/ schemes wherever it is being implemented to the village councils so that it could be included in the village development plan.
Stating that all activities have to be uploaded in the gram samvad App, he sought co-operation from all the members present. To make the campaign successful, he also asked the district level nodal officers to nominate facilitators and frontline workers.
Sharing on the various panchayat awards received by the state in the previous year, he asked them to give more efforts in order to achieve more of such awards.
The training was attended by nodal officers from Environment, Forests and Climate Change, NRE, School Education, Water Resources, Fisheries and AR, E and C, PHED, AH and Veterinary, Agriculture, Employment, Art and Culture and Social Welfare departments.
