Pungro Sub-Division Village Guards’ Sports Union (PSDVGU) has organised its 1st ever Inter-unit Volleyball tournament on October 14, 2015 at Local Ground Pungro Town, where 16 village-units participated in the tournament.
T. Torechu MLA, NKVIB, Chairman, Nagaland gracing the inaugural program as the chief guest, congratulated the union for organising the tournament and also encouraged the union to continue to physically exercise the guards for better.
Hav. Maj. Kiutsu, President PSDVGUS accorded the welcome speech while, Pastor Yimto, PTBC invoked God’s blessings for the proceedings of the programme. Zhimkiur Band Party welcomed the chief guest with a melodious unison of music. Yimchung Berü Ariako Pungro Unit also presented a melodious song. Short speeches were also delivered by Thongthong, Asst. Comdt, VG Kiphire, Musumong, Head GB Pungro, Wennyie Konyak ADC Pungro and Kiusumew, President PFPSD.
S. Shojiba, general secretary, PTBC pronounced the benediction.
Meanwhile, Hav.Maj. Lasetsü, uttered the vote of thanks, and Hav/Maj. M. Kiukhenthong Gen. Secy PSDVGSU, chaired the programme.
