Dimapur, May 28 (EMN): Mon district and other adjoin areas would undergo power outage following breakdown of 66 kv transformer.
The sub-divisional officer (transmission) of Mokokchung informed that the electricity consumers in Mon district have to undergo black-out due to break down of 66KV following heavy storm and rain at Tuli-Naginimora-Tizit transmission line.
An updates from the department on May 27 informed that one of the conductors had been snapped due to lightning strike at Anaki-C village in Mokokchung district in the evening of May 26 causing blackout in the whole of Mon district. It added that the department is working on a war footing to restore the power supply at the earliest. It has appealed to all the esteemed consumers to bear with the inconveniences.
