Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, has greeted everyone on the occasion of Diwali.

In his greetings, Patton stated that the festival of lights, which signifies triumph of good over evil, should light up the life of everyone celebrating it. He, however, expressed concerns “about the random display of fireworks which becomes hazardous.”

In another statement, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Nagaland unit, has also extended greetings to all the Hindu community of Nagaland and neighbouring states of India on the occasion of Diwali. “May this festival spread into the lives of all the people and the society with greater joy, laughter, happiness and good health,” LJP stated in its greetings.

Meanwhile, president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), K Therie, has greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali celebration. Therie stated that the celebration of good over evil and light over darkness reminded that evil and darkness never triumph while good deeds and truth always prevail. He wished that the Diwali truly be a celebration of good deeds, truth, knowledge and light in all spheres of life.
