Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): Dimapur police arrested one person identified as Limathung Tungoe of Yamhon village in Wokha district and resident of Senjum village, Dimapur, on October 14 from New Market area on charges of extortion.
A police report issued by the Additional Commissioner of Police and PRO stated that a total of 38 Nos of NSCN(U) work permit ID card and cash of INR 850 were recovered from his possession.
It added that a case in this connection has been registered at West Police Station Dimapur.
In a separate incident on October 15, Dimapur police arrested two persons from Eros Lane on charges of stealing money. The accused persons were identified as Mukesh Kumar Singh (40) Chandpared village in Bihar and Chunchun Kumar Sahani (24) from Chandparsa village in Bihar.
Police report stated that a case has been registered at East Police Station Dimapur.
Meanwhile on October 14, Dimapur police recovered one vehicle (Wagon-R) bearing registration No. AS01JC3292 with Chassis No. MA3EWDES00D39133 and Engine No. K10BN4947845, which was found abandoned in Burma Camp.
