Peace Channel organises leadership training for women

Dimapur. Feb. 19 (EMN): Peace Channel organised a training programme on “The role of women in peace building” at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Naga United Village, on February 18.

An update from the Peace Channel stated that training programme was facilitated by CarolineLeisan, Peace Channel field co-ordinator, along with other staff, while the resource person was Mhabeni Ngullie, general secretary of Nagamese Baptist Church Association (NBCA).

The training programme was held with an aim to plant the seed of peace and promote peace-building among women folk, an update from the Peace Channel stated on Friday.

While sharing on the vision and mission of Peace Channel, Caroline encouraged all the women to get involve in promoting peace saying every individual has a significant role to play in their own family, neighbourhood, church, colony and the society in general.

Also speaking at the programme, Mhabeni has assured to organise similar training programmes in the coming days.

It stated that women have assured to endeavour towards promoting peace in the community and build good relationship with the neighbours.

Altogether, 21 women representatives attended the programme.
