Dimapur, Aug. 9 (EMN): The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) has stated that the recent statements made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and RN Ravi, the governor of Nagaland, have given rise to hope that the Indo-Naga talks are headed in the right direction.
In a statement issued on Friday, it referred to, and appreciated, the declaration by Ravi that Article 371 (A) is a solemn and sacred commitment to the people of Nagaland. It further appreciated Shah’s statement in the Lok Sabha that the special provisions enshrined in Article 371(A) of the Constitution of India will not be touched. It assured that the PDA will extend full cooperation towards realising the long-felt aspirations of the people.
