Wokha, March 19 (EMN): A third consultative meeting–cum–one year anniversary celebration of Sakhi–One Stop Centre (OSC), Wokha, was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Wokha, on March 19.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy commissioner and chairman of OSC, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha stressed on the importance of OSC in order to bring about gender quality. He stated that with the introduction of OSC, women have gradually come to realised their rights.
He further apprised all the stakeholders, NGOs and civil societies to educate the masses on the functions of OSC for women facing violence.
President of Lotha Eloe Hoho and Lotha Students’ Union also shared a short speech during the programme, while OSC and MSK team presented a power point on the success story and functioning of OSC Wokha.
Stakeholders from various HOD in the district and NGOs attended the meeting where they also had a discussion hour and suggestions were made for the successful implementation.
OSC informed that they have received 16 related cases within one year.
