The Music Task Force (MTF), Nagaland organised an open solo competition at RCEMPA in Jotsoma on June 27.
Gracing the inaugural function was the MTF advisor Theja Meru. He encouraged the contestants to work hard and to excel in the field of music. He said that in the line and vision of rehashing the music industry, many exciting plans will be announced soon.
MTF Project Director Dr. Hovithal Sothu said that the objective of the competition is to open avenue to the youngsters to expose their talents and give opportunity for exposure to the outside world.
Altogether 40 contestants took part in the open solo competition.
Meanwhile, 10 contestants from this competition won international, national and Northeast’s exposure trip and performances.
Two contestants have also been selected as stand-by.
The judges for the competition included Nise Meruno, Alobo Naga and Ajen Longchari.
