Dimapur, Jan. 31: Naharbari Village Council (NVC) has warned of strict and exemplary action against those elements who try to disturb peaceful atmosphere of the village by issuing threat to any of its resident.
A joint press statement issued by the village head GB, Ganjalal Mech, along with14 other communities said Naharbari village was established since the British period and one of the oldest villages in Nagaland which is recognised by the State government. It stated that the residents are peace loving and maintain peaceful atmosphere among the various communities of the village.
It said any individual, group, community, organisation, without prior formal information/intimation interfere/ meddle in the affairs and try to disturb the peaceful atmosphere by issuing threat to any of its citizen will be looked upon as an insult and threat to its own existence.
Stating that strict and exemplary action will be taken against those elements, it said any individual, group, community, organisation concerned will be held solely responsible for any untoward eventualities that might occur in course of its action.
