Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): In pursuance to the directive from Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), Naga Students’ Union Bengaluru (NSUB) observed a candlelight vigil and prayer session on October 28.
An update from the union on Tuesday stated that the programme was organised to express solidarity with Naga peace negotiators and also for lasting peace and tranquillity to prevail in Naga homeland.
It stated that Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me Benguluru and Angami Students’ Union Benguluru made the necessary arrangement for the venue. The session was supported by all the sub-units under NSUB, elders of NSUB and Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Benguluru (ENSUB).
Meanwhile, NSUB has decided to celebrate its golden jubilee on November 16 at India Campus Crusade for Christ, Hennur Main Road, Benguluru.
A union press release stated that its first general secretary Bendangnukshi Longkumer would be the chief guest of the celebration and H Khetovi,
Advisor of Tourism, Art and Culture, as the guest of honour.
NSF president, Ninoto Awomi; deputy chief engineer of Indian telephone Industries Limited, Hesho Kaihrii Mao; and the executive vice president of Infosys Limited, Ramdas Kamath would also attend the celebration as special guest.
In this regard, the union has invited all its former members to attend the celebration.
