NSF Trophy: Viswema FC, Headhunters FC advance to the next round

Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): Viswema FC and Headhunters FC on Friday won their respective matches at the ongoing 21st NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2021 at IG stadium in Kohima.

Viswema FC blanked Bandits FC 7-0 in the first match of the day, wherein Vilu Theyo scored the first goal for Viswema FC in the 7th minute.

Kelethuto Kin scored a hat-trick for Viswema FC in the 16th 39th and 47th minutes, while Kelengoto James scored two goals in the 51th and 62nd minutes and Metol Neikha added another goal for the team in the 64th minute.

Meanwhile, Shahkham Konyak of Bandits FC was served a red card for his unsporting behaviour.

Viswema FC will now take on Headhunters FC on Nov. 2 at 6 pm.

In the second match, Headhunters FC edged Asufϋ CI Manipur 3-1, wherein Chingsha scored the first goal for Headhunters FC in the 32nd minute, followed by Mecievikho and Samson scoring the second and third goal for the team in the 46th and 63rd minutes. Azϋo Kajina also scored a goal for Asufϋ CI.

Lorhϋ Kaisϋ of Asufϋ CI was cautioned a yellow card in the 48th minute. The institute had remarkably defeated Jakhama Youth Organisation and Young United 18 Boys. However, they failed to beat Headhunters FC in the pre-quarterfinals.

It may be mentioned that three teams from Manipur participated in the tournament, but all the teams failed to reach the quarterfinals.

1st match: Fifa FC vs ANTA (12:30 pm)

2nd match: A Yhome FC vs Hurricane Boys (2 pm)
