NSF Trophy: United Brothers FC, Phesama YO and Magdaline Coaching FC win matches

: On the eight day (Monday) of the ongoing 21st NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima, United Brothers FC, Phesama Youth Organisation and Magdaline Coaching FC won their respective matches.

Playing the first match, United Brothers FC beat Amsem FC 2-1, wherein Vilazo Linyü of United Brothers FC scored the first goal in the 7th minute. However, Toshiakum of Amsem FC equalised the tally in the 14th minute and the first half of the match ended in a draw.

Subsequently, it was Thejangutuo from United Brothers FC, who broke the tie in the 38th minute for his team to win over Amsem FC. With the win United Brothers FC will take on Headhunters on Oct. 26.

In the second match, Phesama Youth Organisation thrashed Hooligans FC 12-1, wherein Moatemsü scored the first goal in favour of Hooligans FC in the 3rd minute, which later turned out to be the only goal for the team, while Phesama Youth Organisation ruled the game with Chedevi Mejura scoring the first goal at 14th minute and 40th minute, followed by Vikehiezo Mejura making a hatrick at 26th, 44th and the 54th minute.

Moreover, adding to the win, Theja Chuse scored four goals at 27th, 29th, 57th and 64th minutes while Kedosekho Thanyü scored two goals at 56th and 66th minutes and Kevi Chuse scored the last goal at 68th minute.

Meanwhile, in the third match, Chandmari Higher Secondary School (CHSS) Alumni took on Magdaline Coaching FC in a deadlock until the last minute. The winner was decided through a tie-breaker, which in the end favoured Magdaline Coaching FC by a small margin 6-5.
