NSCW sensitises Pughoboto citizens on human trafficking

Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Legal awareness programme on human trafficking was held at Pughoboto town hall on May 2. The programme was organised by Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) in association with the National Commission for Women, New Delhi.
To halt the human trafficking in that State, Dr. Temsula Ao and her team has been touring the districts including Pughoboto division since April 21. The awareness programme will conclude on May 31.
Dr. Temsula, speaking on the occasion, said human trafficking for trade exploitation should be taken seriously by everyone, especially parents. Informing that human beings are exploited for monetary gain, she implored that first and foremost we should make the people aware about human trafficking, forced marriage, and organ trade.
Officer in-Charge of Pughoboto Police Station, Chubaonen also spoke on the occasion. Welcome speech was delivered by STH president Kitoli while NSCW member Asangla Cholong summed up the programme.
