The NSCN-K has delivered a chilling warning to the “government of India” stating that the “ethnic races of WESEA (North East India) shall at every given opportunity strike against India with renewed coordinated efforts keeping in mind the common political and historical legacy and attachments of the region.”
In a press release issued Saturday, the NSCN-K claimed that the June 4 massacre of 18 soldiers from the 6th Dogra Regiment at Chandel district in Manipur was proof that “the Nagas are capable of striking anywhere anytime without territorial considerations.”
It went on to state that “the Nagas in general and NSCN in particular” shall continue to defy the “arbitrarily imposed boundary by India and Myanmar” without the consent of the Naga people.
The outfit also “reiterated” that the June 4 assault was “launched by NSCN/GPRN Naga Army Elite Strike Unit along with Special Task Forces of KYKL and KCP.”
