NSCN (K) claims responsibility for attack

Dimapur, Dec. 4: The NSCN (K) has claimed responsibility for the December 3 attack on an Assam Rifles convoy in Arunachal Pradesh that reportedly killed one soldier and injured several others.

A note that the NSCN (K) issued on Sunday said that the organization will continue “sanitizing our territory from forceful occupation by Indian military.” The press release was appended by the MIP, NSCN / GPRN.

“Countering the Indian Armed Force’s increased incursive violent activities in Naga country in recent times, the Naga Army, NSCN/GPRN launched attack on a two vehicle convoy of Assam Rifles on 3 rd December at Myanmar-Arunachal border area,” the press release read.
According to the group, ‘one troop transport vehicle was completely demolished and reduced to ashes and all its occupants killed and none expected to survive.’

The NSC N (K) stated that ‘more than nine Indian soldiers including an officer were killed on the spot and several others inflicted with serious injuries’ while there was ‘no casualty or injury on Naga Army.’

“The Naga Army shall continue sanitizing our territory from forceful occupation by Indian military,” it added.
