NSCN/GPRN Lotha region observes Khodao’s 12th death anniversary

Lotha region of the NSCN/GPRN has observed the 12th death anniversary of its former vice president, Khodao Yanthan, by organizing a programme at his graveyard ‘Aitepyong’ in Lakhuti village under Wokha district on Tuesday.

In a presidential address, NSCN/GPRN kilo kilonser, M Daniel Lotha, has stressed upon inculcating unity among the Nagas especially the Lotha community in following the good examples set by the pioneers. He has urged to retrospect and follow the footsteps of their ancestors, who vowed forgiveness for a unified Naga nation as one without differences.

“Let not the disunity overshadow our future as our action will determine our future,” Daniel said. He also called upon the gathering to emulate the principles of Khodao Yanthan, a tallest figure among Naga freedom fighters. He also delivered messages from the chairman and the general secretary of the NSCN/GPRN.

Zachamo Yanthan has briefly presented the biography of Khodao Yanthan, while an obituary message were delivered by NSCN/GPRN kilonser Ebibemo Lotha, family members, Lakhuti village council, Kohima Lakhuti union, Lakhuti officers’ forum, officials from NSCN/GPRN Lotha region, and former MLA Y Sulanthung Humtsoe.

A prayer of blessings upon Lotha Naga national workers was said by Oben Patton, assistant pastor of Lakhuti Baptist Church (LBC).

Meanwhile, the officials of NSCN/GPRN Lotha region have sought prayers and moral support and also contribute towards the legitimate Naga freedom struggle.

The Lakhuti village council and officials from Lakhuti officers’ union have assured their constant support.

The programme was hosted by Lotha region of NSCN/GPRN. The invocation prayer was said by Lilamo Yanthan, associate pastor og Lakhuti Baptist Church, while Mhathung Humtsoe, former chairman of Lakhuti village council, delivered the welcome address. Songs were presented by BYF LBC and Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung.
