NPP candidate Moangkaba campaigns with focus on connectivity

National People’s Party (NPP) candidate of 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency (AC), S Maongkaba Ozukum, has underlined the need to give more importance on connectivity, which according to him holds the key to various developmental activities.

Ozukum stated this during his election campaign held at Salulamang village, Chuchuyimlang town and Longkong village on Friday. While highlighting his vision, he stated that uplift of youth, women, widows and old-age pension facilities through central programmes and schemes would be his key focus besides giving importance to road connectivity and maintenance.

He added that equal importance would be also given to education sector. He has envisaged to promote schools and make them into model schools and also set up training institutions to provide skill training for the youth to be self-reliant.    

He also informed that scientific agriculture would also be introduced to attract companies for business cooperation in the areas and also initiate measures to provide adequate water supply and alternative energy/ solar energy on large scales.

He also shared his vision to make the constituency headquarters into a commercial hub for the area and bring about development to remote areas in the constituency.

He has disclosed his desire to upgrade the area into SDO headquarters and introduce town council committee. He also declared that the local area development fund (LADF) would be utilised with total transparency and be accountable for every penny spent.

In this regard, he has appealed to the electorates to put their trust on me.

“If you want change and corruption-free society, use your true conscience while casting your valuable vote so that you can challenge the leader you elect to bring him to the right tracks if goes overboard,” Ozukum said.
