KOHIMA, AUGUST 22
NPF Phek Division president, Chivotso Nienu, has taken umbrage at the allegation hurled by DCC Phek president Mikha Kenye stating that ‘he is always more than willing to comply to keep the (R&B) minister in good humour in return for a benefit’. The charge was made while Mikha Kenye was gunning, inter alia, for the minister’s reported assurance that he would improve the road conditions within 3-4 months. Chivotso emphatically reiterated that the minister had never made such a promise. Rather, he had assured to improve to a great extent the road conditions within 3-4 years.
In a rejoinder to the press release by DCC president, Mikha Kenye, on this matter Chivotso had stated that the former was in the habit of parroting anything against the NPF even on minor matters.
Chivotso also said that any sort of constructive criticism would be welcome any time but insinuating personal interest is not in good taste and unbecoming of a public leader like Mikha Kenye. He would do well to refrain from such activity in future, the rejoinder added.
