Dimapur, Nov. 26 (EMN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) headquarters and units observed the Constitution Day at its headquarter in Maligaon on Tuesday.
In an update received here on Tuesday from NFR public relation officer informed that General Manager (Construction) N K Prasad, in his address said that the Constitution Day is being observed in India as a tribute to all those great people who worked tirelessly to give India her Constitution.
Citing about the constitution of India, he said that India is a secular country and the Constitution of India guarantees the freedom of conscience and the right to profess, practice and propagate religion to all.
He also remembered Dr. B R Ambedkar, who was the architect of Indian constitution.
Prasad read out the preamble to the officers and staff.
