North East Art Camp concludes

The North East Art camp organized by the Rengma Cultural and Films Society Limited(RCFSL) successfully completed today.
Ten artists from North East region came to be a part of the camp.
During the camp the artists participated in the discussion/slide presentation of their artworks. The young upcoming artist from various parts of the country were Sisir Thapa from Sikkim who has done artist residence in China for two years, Mrinmoy Debbarma from Tripura who has done artist residence in France for one year and also a national awardee and KeshabNarzary (Assam) who has done a lot of commission works in his state as well as in neighbouring country like Bhutan and famous Amritam Das from West Bengal who has also exhibited and sold paintings in London.
According to RCFSL President, Robert James, art plays an important role in the society that expresses visual language. He said it also develops brain of the child’s creativity. He said ‘art’ should not be discouraged. He also believes that this camp has provided an opportunity to the artists to engage with one another in an informal way of interaction thus enriching their own experience and growth.
Invitation was given to Unity College of Teacher Education and Eastern Academy to witness the camp.
RCFSL also expressed gratitude to LipokTsudir, Director NEZCC for providing local hospitality during the event.
