Kohima, May 24 (EMN):
The Leader of Naga People’s Front (NPF) Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Tuesday said that there is no anti-incumbency factor against the party.

He said during an interaction with the journalists at the NPF Central Office in Kohima after the working committee meeting that they are working on a war footing to strengthen the party.

Replying to a query about the recent defection its 21 MLAs to the NDPP, he said: “We don’t want to talk about the 21 MLAs anymore; if Autumn comes, Spring is not very far away”.

He said that the party has already started ground works to strengthen it and doesn’t not want all its activities to be available on social media or reveal to the people.

‘The best thing is, in NPF, there is no more anti-incumbency, so the party will be come up with fresh new candidates,’ said Nienu while expressing hope of getting two digit figure at end of the day.

“We should not recollect the bitter past (to) destroy our perfect future ahead,” he added.

Two-point resolution adopted

Meanwhile, the NPF unanimously adopted a two-point resolution during the working committee held at its central office in Kohima on Tuesday.

After deliberating on the possible outcome of the political talk between the government of India and the NSCN (IM) as well as Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups (WC-NNPG), the House resolved to reiterate the party’s stand that the “solution should be honourable, acceptable and inclusive. Considering the past agreements and accords that caused more divisions amongst the Nagas rather than uniting, it opined that any solution arriving out of the negotiations should be “seriously examined before making a final shape”.

The House also resolved to revamp and re-strengthen the party at all levels, while inviting all the well-wishers “to come forward and associate with the party activities in order to take the Naga people forward as Nagas are going through a very critical phase of the Political movement”.
