No Covid-19 lockdown violation reported in Nagaland

Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): There was no law and order incident and lockdown violation in Nagaland as on May 31, according to the Covid-19 report on Law and Order issued by the joint secretary of Home, Hiazu Meru, on Monday.

On essential goods, the report said that shops for food grains and groceries and milk remained opened in all the districts except Longleng, Mokokchung and Wokha, and that medicine shops remain opened in all the districts except Longleng. It added that there has been no shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine in any part of the state.

The report further stated that no restriction has been imposed on the movement of essential service providers like electricity/telecom facilities/medical facilities etc., workers in manufacturing units and commercial vehicles and e-commerce agents for distribution of essential commodities.

It went on to state that arrangements have been made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by Covid-19 restrictions, adding that there is one active relief camp and two food camps functioning in the state.
