Dimapur, May 21 (EMN): President of Naga National Council (NNC), Gen. (Retd.) Thinoselie M Keyho, has mourned the demise of his comrade Major (Retd.) Dangti William of Changki village, who went to China along with him in the year 1967-68.
In a condolence message, Thinoselie has described Dangti William as one who abandoned the comfort of Indian government service and joined the Naga national service.
Thonoselie has also described him as one of the smartest and the most active among the team who went to China.
“A learned man he was yet very humble. He had an amiable personality and was loved by all,” Thinoselie eulogised.
Recalling his association with Dangti William, Thinoselie stated that after his return to Nagaland, he was captured by the Indian army and was tortured. Later, on being asked to join the Indian government service again, Dangti William waited for his consent and joined only after his approval.
“He is someone who gave his life for the nation, a history maker in the Naga national service and his deeds will always be remembered,” Thinoselie stated. He has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
