DIMAPUR — Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Sharingain Longkumer and NLA secretary-in-charge Khruohituonuo Rio attended the 9th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference, which took place from August 20 to 23 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The conference was inaugurated by Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, according to a DIPR report. The governor of Rajasthan, the chief minister of Rajasthan, the speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (RLA), the leader of the opposition in the RLA, and the deputy chairman of the Rajya Sabha were among the distinguished speakers.
The conference’s valedictory address was delivered by the Vice President of India.
During the conference, Longkumer took part in discussions on ‘how to make public representatives more effective/efficient in encouraging good governance through digital empowerment.’
