NIAPA represents India at Couture Fashion Week in New York

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE Couture Fashion Week which is one of the most prestigious fashion week in New York have seen participation of countries from all over the world. Celebrating its 20th season which was held from 5th – 7th September, 2014 at Crowne Plaza, Times Square Manhattan, had participants from countries like Canada, China, Lebanon, Italy, Russia, Vietnam and India.
The Northeast India Academy of Performing Arts (NIAPA) was honored to be the sole participant representing India. It is to be noted that NIAPA participation this season marked its second appearance at the Couture Fashion Week, New York. NIAPA show which was held on the 6th of September 2014 showcased its official clothing brand “MOI”.
It’s Bridal and Evening Gown collection “Ara Kezievi – the beauties of my land” was inspired by the idyllic modern-day versatile women, a woman who is elegant yet intriguing, fun yet sophisticated. The event was covered by more than 200 press organizations and attended by a host of luminaries and fashion lovers from around the globe.
As stated by representative of NIAPA at the Couture Fashion Week, “MOIs collection received positive feedbacks from the guests and organizations alike. Since our show, we have been contacted by organizations to consider showcasing at the Style Fashion Week, Los Angeles and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, New York.”
The representative further stated that the fashion house MOI will be dealing exclusively in its signature designer formal men and women wears and bridal gowns and will be open for general retailing soon. As updated, MOI have also confirmed to showcasing its exclusive and latest collections here in Nagaland.
