PHED water metering system for Old Ministers’ Hill

The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) will be introducing water metering system to various colonies in the state capital in a phase-wise manner. EE (U) Kohima, PHED Vikeduolie Mepfhuo has informed that the water supply distribution point at Old Ministers’ Hill near VIP guest house area will be converted to water metering system. In view of this, water supply in the area will be disrupted for a week from August 21. The department has requested consumers to clear their outstanding dues and report to the concerned Junior Engineer of the Ministers’ Hill section along with necessary receipt for conversion of their water supply lines with necessary payment. Department also requested the consumers to bear with the inconveniences at the time of process.

All Nagaland govt school teachers’ conference

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will be organising the 2nd All Nagaland Government School Teachers’ Conference at the NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima. Minister for School Education, Tokheho Yepthomi will grace the inaugural programme on August 22 at 10 a.m. as the chief guest while Parliamentary Secretary of Economics & Statistics and SCERT, Er Kropol Vitsu grace the valedictory programme on August 23, 2:40 p.m.

UGC directs institutes on PG Portal

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed the institutes to exhibit a notice board giving details of the PG Portal of UGG (http://www.uqc.ac.in/qrievance/) in their university and also ensure the same in the affiliated colleges. The Nodal Officer, the person in-charge of the Grievance Redressal Cell of the University will monitor and respond to students’ grievances lodged on the portal. In addition to handling grievances of respective university, Nodal officers will also be responsible for handling grievances of colleges affiliated to their university and report the action taken on the portal.

WSSU to conduct free crash course for NPSC applicants

The Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has informed that the union in collaboration with Discovery lAS Academy, will be offering free one month crash course at Purana Bazar Council Hall for all the Sumi intending NPSC applicants 2017. Interested applicant can procure a form at the Discovery IAS Academy, Midland, opposite Lion’s Club by producing a xerox copy of the academic documents for verification and registration. It also notified that forms/seats are limited and will be issues on first come first basis from August 18. KSUK informs members

The khiamniungan Students’ Union kohima (KSUK) has informed all Khiamniungan students studying within Kohima district that the union will be carrying out enrollment and membership collection for the year 2017 for students census. KSUK appealed all the students, parents and guardian to contact the following numbers for more information (9615562303/8787885562/9089390941). Failing to enroll to the students’ body, the union would not be held responsible in any case as per KSUK rule no. 3.

One bike recovered

NSCN/GPRN UT-I has found two wheelers, Hero Glamour bike with engine no. JA06EFBGMO07861 and chases no. MBLJA06FBMGN0091. Rightful owner may claim the bike with proper documents at UT- office during office hour.
