Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): In view of the 11th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled from March 19 to the 25th, Kohima Police has issued new traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement.
In a press release, the PRO of Kohima Police stated that only vehicles with the car pass ‘X’ (white letter with blue background, ‘Y’ (white letter with blue background), ‘Y’ (black letter with green background), Assembly Logo, ‘LH’ (black letter with white background), ‘O’ (black letter with yellow background), and ‘On Assembly Duty’ (white letter with red background) would be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat.
It stated that no vehicle would be allowed parking by the roadside from 6 am onwards during Assembly sessions from BSNL telephone exchange till Classic Island, from Raj Bhavan till MS Classic Island, from Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via Razhü point and High School, and from New CM official residence, Phezoucha to Assembly Secretariat.
It added that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during the Assembly session from 6 am till the session is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 6 am during the assembly session.
It further stated that heavy vehicles would not be allowed parking along ‘D’ Block road.
While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, it informed that the police would tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges would be borne by the vehicles owners.
