nCovid-19 Nagaland visitors app mandatory for returnees

Kohima, May 27 (EMN): The government of Nagaland Covid-19 war room on Wednesday has notified that all returnees should mandatorily use nCovid-19 Nagaland visitors app, which is accessible for both Android and iOS phones.
“Data collected is used solely for the purpose of contact tracing and mandatory quarantine monitoring within the context of Covid-19 pandemic surveillance by authorised officials,” the update informed.
It added that every person entering the state after May 18 should mandatorily quarantine themselves and in case of any problem faced while using the app, it stated to report it to the Nagaland Covid-19 Helpline number 1800- 345- 0019.
An infographic containing the instructions on how to use the app for iPhone and keypad phone users informed to call 1800- 345- 0019, then choose the language by pressing 1 for English and pressing 2 for Nagamese.
The person calling the helpline has been instructed to ‘Press 3’ for any issues relating to nCovid-19 Nagaland Visitors App.
It also added the health workers would call the person twice to obtain information and reports for symptoms.
Whereas, for Android phone users can download the app from Playstore and install the same on their phone.
The users have been instructed to log into the app and keep the location on until completion of the quarantine.
Two separate categories is available for self declaration – travellers have been asked to select self declare and provide transit details of the journey; while for others who are undergoing quarantine should mark themselves in quarantine.
It also instructed that a person should report twice daily, by visiting the option for daily report to update ones symptoms and upload a selfie, select home or facility option accordingly for 14 days.
A person who has completed the 14 days of home or institutional quarantine is instructed to go to step-3, choose self quarantine and repeat the process for another 14 days.
