NBSE boards to start on Feb 14

Dimapur, Dec. 3: The Nagaland Board of School Education has announced the schedule and subject set for the High School- (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations for 2017. The examination for HSLC begins on February 15 with English.

The examination for HSSLC begins on the 14, also with English. Besides the main schedule for the high- and higher secondary schools, an official notification from the NBSE on Saturday listed out ancillary examinations such as the XI promotion examination.

The examinations will conclude on February 27 for high school; March 6 for the class-XI promotions and HSSLC. The NBSE informed that the routines were also available on the website www.nbsenagaland.com.
“Examination routine shall not be altered in the event of any unexpected holiday. However, in case of cancellation or postponement of the date(s) of examination, it shall be notified through the media,” the NBSE stated.

According to the NBSE, 76 examination centres will cater to 22, 446 students for the HSLC examination. For class-XI promotion examination, 152 examination centres will cater to 17, 272 students (13362, Arts; 2583, Science; 1327, Commerce).

For HSSLC, 53 examination centres will cater to 15471 students (11653, Arts; 2649, Science; 1169, Commerce).
