Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): Northern Angami Sports Association (Nasa), which was led by Vinolie Medom handed over charge to the new team for 2022-24 to Neisavotuo Whuorie at a brief programme held at NAPO Building, Kezieke, Kohima.
Medom, in his outgoing Nasa presidential speech, thanked God for the opportunity and privilege to have led the team, a press release informed.
He congratulated the team and Nasa players, who gave their best for the record haul of medals (70 medals out of 112 medals) at the recently concluded ASA meet 2022 and hoped that the players will continue to keep on practicing for better performances and records.
Whuorie, in his presidential address, acknowledged the northern angamis for the privilege and belief in him to lead the new Nasa team and thanked the outgoing team for their presence, support and assurance.
The new team will be led by Whuorie as the president, Virielhoulie Miario as the vice president, Keduoneizo Zumvü as the general secretary, Sevilie Tsükrü as the treasurer, Visasielie Zumu as the athletics secretary, Viliebeizo Liezietsu and Khrietuolie Üsou as the games secretary and wrestling secretary respectively and Adu Keditsu as the press secretary among others.
The programme concluded with a mass prayer.
