UPDATE: “We deeply regret to inform the special train scheduled to travel from Bangalore to Dimapur on 28th May 2020 with 1610 passengers on board stands postponed now. Further dates will be communicated once we receive any information from government of Nagaland,” informed Mughato Kiba, president of Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) and Convener Naga Task Force Bengaluru.

Kiba informed that in view of Covid-19 positive cases being detected in the state and “with so many stranded people arriving in Nagaland through own transport and buses, the quarantine place is already filled”, the government of Nagaland has decided to postpone the scheduled train until further notice.
