Nagaland wins big at Mr Miss and Mrs Northeast India 2021

Kohima, Nov. 1 (EMN): As many as five titles and six subtitles were won by the contestants from Nagaland during the Mr Miss and Mrs Northeast India 2021 held at Guwahati in Assam on October 31.

Awiesie Pochury and Rosalen Yanthan from Nagaland were crowned Mr and Miss Northeast India 2021 respectively during the fourth edition of the pageant organised by Spark The Ultimate Fire held from October 30 and the 31st at ITA Makhowa in Guwahati.

Tonato Zhimomi and Inavili Achumi from the state also bagged the runners-up position in Mr and Miss Northeast India title respectively. Also, Zuchano Kikon was conferred the Miss Tourism Brand Ambassador title.

Altogether, 11 contestants from the state have contested in the two-day pageant.

Samuel Achy Phom, president of Nagaland Mega Entertainment (NME) from Guwahati informed Eastern Mirror that the winners will represent India and get a direct entry into a national level pageant and also International Beauty Pageant 2022 to be held either in China, Korea, Japan or Phillipines.

NME has expressed immense happiness and pride that quite a good number of contestants have won prestigious titles and subtitles at such an event “after many years.”
