Dimapur, May 26 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has requested the chief minister of the state to intervene and defer the decision of School Education department for “physical de-linking of higher secondary from 15 private colleges”.

In a letter to the CM, the student body said that the immediate “physical de-linking of higher secondary level” without prior information will affect the livelihood of many teachers and cause inconvenience to students if higher secondary schools are not available in their localities.

Citing the service rendered by the concerned colleges to the state for decades, when the state had less higher secondary schools, the student body said it won’t be fair to abruptly cut-off the linkage and affect the lives of many teachers.

It went on to request the CM to give a ‘window period and permit the affected colleges to take Class XI admission for 2022 academic session’ in the interest of the student community.
