Nagaland reports 9 new COVID cases

Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has declined to 55 with seven recoveries – three in Wokha, two each in Kohima and Dimapur — registered on Wednesday.

The state’s COVID tally increased to 35,855, with nine new cases — three each in Mon and Zunheboto, two in Wokha, and one in Dimapur — logged during the same period.

An update from the Health department informed that the total recoveries increased to 33,521.

The death toll remained unchanged at 768 with no fresh fatality reported during the last 24 hours.

Out of the 55 active cases, 37 are asymptomatic, 16 mild and two moderate on oxygen.

In terms of district-wise distribution of cases, Dimapur has 18, Kohima eight, seven in Mon, six each in Longleng and Zunheboto, three each in Wokha and Mokokchung, two in Tuensang, and one each in Phek and Kiphire.
