Nagaland reports 6 new Covid-19 cases, no fatalities

Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN):
As many as six new Covid-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on Wednesday, pushing the tally to 21,024, while active caseload declined to 144 following recuperation of nine patients.

The cumulative recoveries in the state have increased to 30,134 while the death toll remained unchanged at 679 as no fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.

The update from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that three fresh cases were detected in Dimapur and one each in Kohima, Mokokchung and Wokha on Wednesday, while four in Mon, three in Mokokchung and one each in Dimapur and Kiphire recovered.

It went on to inform that out of the 144 active cases in the state, 116 are symptomatic, 20 mild, two moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, one in ICU without ventilator and two in ICU on ventilator.

India logs 10197 new cases

India reported 10,197 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday taking the country’s Covid tally 3,44,66,598, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 4,64,153 after 301 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 1,28,555, with the recovery of 12,134 patients during the same period.
