Nagaland reports 5 new Covid-19 cases, 15 recoveries

Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of five Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally to 35,407 while active caseload declined to 109 with recovery of 15 patients.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,065 following recovery of 15 patients — nine in Dimapur, two in Mokokchung and one each in Peren, Phek, Tuensang and Wokha — in the last 24 hours. The death toll remained unchanged at 751 with no fresh fatalities.


According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, four positive cases were reported in Dimapur and one in Mokokchung.
Out of 109 active cases in the state, 95 are asymptomatic, 10 mild, one moderate on oxygen and three in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 74 infections, 18 in Kohima, two in Mokokchung, five each in Peren and Tuensang, two in Mon, one each in Phek, Longleng and Wokha, while Zunheboto and Kiphire are currently Covid-19 free.
