Nagaland reports 17 fresh Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): A total of 17 fresh Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Nagaland on Saturday, taking the tally to 31,922 and active caseload to 188.

 The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 29,998 following recuperation of 13 patients, while the death toll increased to 673 as one fatality was reported in the last 24 hours.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 13 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, and one each in Kiphire, Kohima, Mokokchung and Phek on Saturday, while nine patients in Dimapur and four in Kohima recovered.

Out of 188 active cases in the state, 154 are asymptomatic, 19 mild, four moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, and five in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 93 active cases, Kohima with 34, 30 in Mokokchung, eight in Wokha, seven in Phek, five in Kiphire, four each in Tuensang and Mon, two in Peren and one in  Zunheboto, while Longleng is currently Covid-free.

10929 fresh cases in India

India recorded 10,929 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday, pushing the country’s infection tally to 3,43,44,683, according to data from the Union Health ministry.

Meanwhile, 392 more fatalities pushed the death toll to 4,60,265.

The number of active cases decreased to 1,46,950 with the recovery of 12,509 patients in the last 24 hours.

It stated that with the administration of 20,75,942 vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 107.92 crore (1,07,92,19,546).
