Nagaland records 8 new COVID-19 cases

Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): Nagaland recorded eight new COVID-19 infections on Saturday, pushing tally to 35,683, while the death toll remained unchanged at 761 with no fresh fatalities registered in the last 24 hours.

An update by the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that six fresh cases were reported in Kohima and two in Dimapur. It added that nine recoveries – five in Kohima and four in Dimapur – were registered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,328.

Out of 90 active cases in the state, 33 are asymptomatic, 52 mild, four moderate on oxygen, and one in ICU on ventilator. In terms of district-wise distribution of cases, Kohima has 45, Dimapur 28, four each in Longleng and Phek, three each in Mokokchung and Wokha, and one each in Mon, Peren, and Zunheboto.
