Nagaland records 6 Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of six fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 31,966, while active caseload remain unchanged at 172.

The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,052 with five more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll stands at 676 with no fresh fatalities.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, five positive cases were reported in Dimapur and one in Kohima on Thursday, while two each from Dimapur and Mokokchung, and one in Kohima recovered.

Out of 172 active cases in the state, 141 are asymptomatic, 18 mild, four moderate on oxygen, five severe on oxygen, and four in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 93, 27 in Mokokchung, 26 in Kohima , six each in Wokha and Kiphire, four each in Tuensang and Mon, three in Phek, two in Peren and one in  Zunheboto, while Longleng is currently Covid-free.

13091 new cases in India

India added 13,091 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the country’s total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,44,01,670, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 4,62,189 with 340 fresh fatalities.

The active cases declined to 1,38,556 with the recovery of 13,878 patients in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, with the administration of 57,54,817 vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 110 crore (1,10,23,34,225).
