Nagaland records 37 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 37 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 30,694 and active caseload to 571.

The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 28,538 with 43 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll increased to 632 following one more fatality.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 18 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima three in Phek, two in Mokokchung and one in Peren.

Of the 43 new recoveries, 15 were in Mon, 12 in Dimapur, eight in Kohima, three in Phek, two each in Kiphire and Mokokchung and one in Longleng.

Nagaland currently has 571 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 448 are asymptomatic, 87 mild, 12 moderate on oxygen, 12 severe on oxygen, five in ICU without ventilator, and seven in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 318 cases, followed by Kohima with 97, 72 in Mokokchung, 27 in Phek, 20 in Wokha, 16 in Mon, nine in Zunheboto, five Kiphire, four in Tuensang, two in Peren, and one in Longleng.
