Nagaland records 24 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Nagaland recorded 24 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the tally to 31,571, while active caseload increased to 236.

The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,639 with 14 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remained unchanged at 659 with no fresh fatalities.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 11 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, nine in Kohima, and two each in Mokokchung and Longleng.

Of the 14 new recoveries, nine were reported in Dimapur, three in Mokokchung and two in Wokha.

Nagaland currently has 236 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 157 are asymptomatic, 57 mild, four moderate on oxygen, 11 severe on oxygen, one in ICU without ventilator, and six in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 125, followed by Kohima with 60, 22 in Mokokchung, 12 in Tuensang, nine in Phek, three in Mon, two each in Peren and Longleng, one in Kiphire, while Wokha and Zunheboto are currently Covid-free.
