Nagaland records 21 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Oct. 1 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 21 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to 31,265 and active caseload to 347.
The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,254 following recuperation of 27 more patients in the last 24 hours, while the death toll increased to 651 with one fatality reported.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, nine positive cases were reported in Dimapur, four in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, two each in Phek and Wokha, and one in Longleng.
Out of the 27 new recoveries, 16 were in Dimapur, six in Mokokchung and five Kohima.
Nagaland currently has 347 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 263 are asymptomatic, 65 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, two in ICU without ventilator, and three in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 202 active cases, followed by Kohima with 71, 38 in Mokokchung, 14 in Phek, nine in Kiphire, three in Tuensang, four in Wokha, two each in Peren and Mon and Longleng, while Zunheboto is currently Covid-free.
