Nagaland Postal Division today launched “My Stamp” facility at Kohima Head Post Office on the occasion of Philately Day as part of the National Postal Week, which is being observed from October 9 to 15.
The folk fusion band of Nagaland, Abiogenesis’ vocalist Arenla Subong and guitarist Moa Subong launched ‘My Stamp’ with their own photos in the conference hall of head post office here.
‘My Stamp’ is a facility where a person can personalize his photograph or any images alongside the selected postage stamp, said Som Kamei, Director of Postal Services Nagaland while addressing the gathering. This is a special and new product of the Postal Department in the state, he said while urging the people to make use of the facility.
‘My Stamp’ is the brand name for personalized sheets of Postage Stamps of India Post, he said, adding that the personalization is achieved by printing a thumb nail photograph of the customer images and logos of institutions, or images of artwork, heritage buildings, famous tourist places, historical cities, wildlife, other animals and birds etc., alongside the selected Commemorative Postage Stamp.
One can personalize the postal stamp with one’s own or someone else photograph and also put up logos of institutions, design of heritage buildings or anything of a person’s choice through ‘My Stamp’.
‘My Stamp’ was first introduced in India during the World Philatelic Exhibition, ‘INDIPEX-2011’.
