Dimapur, Dec. 6 (EMN): The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) and Kohima Lotha Youth Organisation (KLYO) have condemned the ‘cold blooded murder’ of Thungchibemo Humtsoe on November 30 at Leriechazou, Kohima.

LSU, in a condemnation note, demanded that the accused should not be granted bail under any circumstances or situation.

The union cautioned that it would not remain a mute spectator but resort to any mode of democratic agitation if the culprit is not punished as per the law.

“The union appeals to the law enforcing agencies to expedite the case so that the criminal be severely punished and booked under appropriate section under the court of law,” it stated.

In a separate release, KLYO appealed to the law enforcing agency to award severest punishment to the culprit and also requested the court not to allow any sympathiser to bail out the accused.

Meanwhile, the Wokha Town Lakhuti Pongdenro Okho (WTLPO) also condemned the murder of Thungchibemo Humtsoe, who was by birth a Person with Disability (PwD).

WTLPO called upon all right thinking citizens to do away with the culture of ‘ism’ and demanded for befitting punishment to the accused as per the law of the land.

The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU), while condemning the murder of Thungchibemo Humtsoe, urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits and award befitting punishment.

LMRSU, on behalf of its 23 affiliated units, further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
